Juliet didn’t mean where.

No.  Why?  Why, why, why is your name

Romeo Montague and not Romeo Capulet,

so you can be mine?

  1. Oh, happy happy dagger

may I join Romeo in Paradise.

Is the dagger happy? or is she happy?

Are Juliet’s parents happy

now that she’s dead & gone?

Is Friar Lawrence unhappy? (He ran.)

Two Sword Fights – from Romeo & Juliet

  1. Mercutio & Tybalt are aiming

they strike at the same time,

Romeo hugs his friend Mercutio

While Benvolio grabs Tybalt.

Tybalt slips out

from under him,

stabs Mercutio,

and Benvolio leads away

the dying man.

  1. Here comes the furious

Tybalt back again.

Romeo, still sad,

aims his sword

at Tybalt.

Tybalt aims back

better aim,

Romeo falls,

Tybalt snaps Romeo’s sword.

Benvolio kicks in a sword

to Romeo.

Romeo block’s Tybalt’s dagger and sword

with his broken sword.

Romeo conks him on the head,

stabs him.




Milkweed Pod

I held a milkweed pod.

I let it go.

It rose

rose so high

it must be at the top of the sky.

Wonder why?



Green as grass dotted with sun,

green as leaves on trees up in the sky

green as the fence, shining in the sun,

green as the bush

and the dark brush

green as the algae

on the pond’s edge.



The Talking Sparrow

One day after school when the sparrow was flying home, he sighed softly to himself and said, “I wish that something amazing would happen”. But nothing ever did, so he always said that. When he got home he was bored just like always but…..
… about a month later, a talking horse met the sparrow and they became friends. Then the horse told him about a war between the elves and the dwarves. The dwarves were angry because the elves were stealing the dwarves’ jewels. The two friends agreed that the dwarves were the better cause. So the sparrow and horse set off into the forest.

As they walked along the yellow brick road, they heard a deep rumbling, but they couldn’t see anything. So they hid in a ditch. A bull rumbled around the corner, trampling down the grass between the bricks. The horse was so afraid that he neighed in fright. The bull heard him and wheeled around intent on finding him.  He began counting to 60.

Dystopia in Utah


My hero will wear brown boots and a dark blue shirt. His cell phone’s in his pocket of

his black jeans. And then a bomb destroys the entire area around Salt Lake, and everything and everyone is destroyed except for 10 people. Those who are left have to depend on the 525 gast tanks and the one generator that are left in the state. The people are housed above ground, but some of them can go into an underground shelter… (to be continued)

Bwakk! Bwakk! Bwaak!

Dog ran up the hill,

chicken was scared

      of the collie,

so the chicken scooted into the coop

and laid an egg,

the egg was white.

I came and ate it.

It tasted good.
